Cylindrical lithium battery model specifications
The model naming of cylindrical lithium batteries consists of three letters and five digits. IEC61960 specifies the following rules for cylindrical and square batteries:
Cylindrical lithium battery, with 3 letters followed by 5 numbers. Three letters, I represents the presence of built-in lithium ions, and L represents lithium metal or lithium alloy electrodes. The second letter represents the positive electrode material, C represents diamond, N represents nickel, M represents manganese, and V represents vanadium. The third letter, R, represents cylindrical shape.
5 digits, the first 2 digits represent diameter and the last 3 digits represent height, all in millimeters.
For example, ICR18650 is a universal cylindrical battery with a diameter of 18mm and a height of 65mm, where 0 represents a circular shape.
3.6V refers to a nominal voltage of 3.6V.
C represents the discharge rate of the battery during discharge, measured in mAh. Simply put, it refers to the size or speed of discharge per unit time. For example, if the battery capacity used is discharged in 1 hour, it is called 1C discharge; After 5 hours of discharge, it is called 0.2C discharge.
